Huia Road

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Challenged by a compact site and multi-use area, this driveway / carpark and main entrance to the house required a thoughtful approach. What was just a ‘concrete driveway’ has been converted into an entrance pathway, parking bay with concrete ‘fingers’ and planting strips, a greener and more permeable option.

Abodo timber batten fencing and gates with ‘gaps’ were used to create privacy but retain some visibility and light so it didn’t feel closed in. Planting and creepers were used to soften.

A lawn that struggled with low light was converted into a more usable decorative gravel patio, surrounded by a diverse plant palette.
